Tschafaun Farm
Our farm is located just 3 kilometers from the small village of Oberinn, situated at 1,300 meters above sea level. It offers a stunning view of the Mendel Ridge, with the Cevedale Glacier and many beautiful peaks of our Alpine region in the background. Surrounded by forests and meadows, our guests are welcomed into a peaceful natural setting that provides a wonderful sense of relaxation from the very first moment.
The old farmhouse is a protected historical monument, which meant that Jakob was not allowed to make any changes to it. Therefore, he built his new house right across from it. The old farmhouse also features a traditional farm parlor that is several hundred years old and can be visited upon request. The holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of the new house. As a trained carpenter, Jakob designed and crafted the furniture in the apartment himself.
Throughout the year, cows, calves, cats, hens, and a rooster live with us on the farm.

our little Paradise.
Our mountain farm is a hereditary farm that has been in our family for nearly 60 years and thrives on the production of hay milk. Grandpa Lenz bought the farm in the 1960s and passed it on to his son Max over 30 years ago. The tradition of passing it down from father to son has been maintained and will continue in the future. Currently, Grandma Burgl, the active farmers Evi and Max (who is always on the farm), as well as their son Jakob and his partner Sandra, live on the farm.

A Piece of Tradition
The tradition of the closed farm still exists today in many different mountain regions of our country. This tradition dictates that the farm is passed down from father to the oldest son according to certain rules. The eldest son, the firstborn, has the right to inherit the entire farm so that the land is not divided.
