Leisure Activities on the Farm
& Experience Farm Life
With us, you have the opportunity to experience true farm life. Our 15 cows need to be milked twice a day. During these times, you will find us in the barn. If you feel like helping out, you are welcome to join us at 5:30 AM or 5:30 PM in the barn—no prior request is necessary. We will tell you everything about the cows and their milk production and answer any questions you may have to the best of our abilities. Since our cows produce hay milk, the milking times are unfortunately not flexible. Children are also very welcome to join us. In the barn, we have cows and calves. The cats roam freely and love being petted and fed. The chickens can be safely observed in their outdoor pen during the day, or you can even hold them when they are outside.

Other Activities on the Farm

For entertainment, or depending on your mood, a variety of board games as well as a small library with different fiction and non-fiction books are available in the apartment.
Additionally, we also have hiking backpacks, hiking poles, sleds, and inline skates available for rent.
In the old farmhouse, we have a room where you can find a table hockey, foosball, darts, trampoline and a pedal tractor.
The children can run around freely everywhere, as there is not much traffic here.

Rainy day program
We’d be happy to organize a cooking session where we can make dumplings or have a game afternoon, if the weather is rainy. You could also visit museums on the Ritten (e.g. the Bee Museum) or in Bolzano (e.g. the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, home to Ötzi the Iceman).

If you wish to take a guided hike to the Rittner Horn or to the Wangen Reservoir, feel free to contact us. We can also accompany you for swimming, skiing, ice skating, archery, or simply to enjoy some ice cream, if that's something you'd like to do.

Leisure on the Ritten
Summer
Experience a trip to the fascinating and spectacular earth pyramids of Mittelberg, Oberbozen, or Unterinn. Let yourself be enchanted by a charming ride on the Ritten Railway through the picturesque forest and meadow landscapes.
With public transport (bus and cable car), you can easily reach the Rittner Horn at 2,000 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the Dolomites, the Sarner Alps, and the Stubai Alps along the panoramic trail. The circular route is breathtaking and exciting.
In Oberinn, there is also an archery course where you can test your skills and enjoy this exciting activity surrounded by nature.

From June to September, the public swimming pool in Klobenstein is open. It is located right next to the Arena Ritten, where you can also find tennis courts, a football field, and an ice ring.

​Don't forget to visit the Ritten in winter as well, a perfect season for idyllic snow walks (snowshoes or touring skis) in a stunning natural setting, ice skating on the world-famous speed skating ring in Klobenstein, tobogganing, or skiing at the sunny Rittner Horn.​​​
